new software

Upgraded to wordpress 1.5.1 today, good enough reason to start posting again. One thing I do love about wordpress is that I can upgrade it just by copying the new version on top of the old one, no hassle.

Speaking of new versions, FreeBSD 5.4 was ‘officially’ released yesterday, I was already running off the stable branch for a month, but I figured this would be worthwhile. Upgrade went smooth except for one minor hitch, I can’t get a dhcp lease anymore. Looking over the release notes, they mention some major work done on the fxp driver, which is what my Intel NIC uses. Still trying to figure out whats causing the problem. The logs seem to indicate a problem with bpf, so I guess thats the place to start.
