I don’t post on here nearly as often as I’d like, and it’s not from a lack of ideas or content. I just forget to post about the interesting things I find or do. To, remedy that I’m going to start posting a weekly list of all the great things I find on the net. These ones are already a bit old, but anywho, here we go:

27 April 2006 | 11:02 | General | No CommentsNintendo annouced that the new name for their next console, codenamed “Revolution”, will Be Wii. (Pronounced “we”)
This got me thinking of music they might choose to promote it:
- Wii Built This City, Starship
- Why can’t wii be friends, Smash Mouth
- Can’t Wii All Just Get Along, Guttermouth
- Here Wii Are, Journey
- How Can Wii Be Lovers, Michael Bolton
- Wii Belong Together, Mariah Carey
- If Wii Hold On Together, Diana Ross
- It’s The End Of The World As Wii Know It, R.E.M.
- Wii are the champions, Queen
Yeah, I know this is a stupid list, but so is the name Wii. I hope someone at nintendo comes to their senses soon, and realizes what a retarded name Wii is.

27 March 2006 | 0:04 | General | No CommentsOne of the things I’ve been meaning to do for awhile is dig out all my old textbooks and sell the ones I don’t want anymore. I discovered that I have a lot more books than I thought I did. Anyways, check out my book list (with picture), the link is also on the menu on the right.
In the same vein, I did some file system organizing as well, burned some long overdue backups to dvd, and actually went as far as to defragment my primary drive. I can’t remember the last time I did one of those.
this really sucks
8 March 2006 | 21:01 | General | No CommentsIt’s 10 days before graduation, last week of classes, and I am sick. If everything that I needed to get done wasn’t enough, now I have to do it tired and with a headache.
progress update
27 February 2006 | 17:38 | Work | No CommentsWith the end of the quarter quickly approaching, not to mention graduation and the end of my employment with ResTek, I’ve been trying to finish up BITS (basic inventory tracking system) along with documenting anything I had my grubby little hands on, which is quite a bit.
BITS is conceptually complete, meaning that the framework for everything that it needs to do is in place. However the frontend still needs work to improve the its useability. Then testing, and more testing. I got a lot of useful feed back from the Kulshan meeting today, so I’m looking to get a lot of this done in the next few days.
20 days till graduation. yikes!

10 February 2006 | 19:40 | General | No CommentsI finally applied for graduation last friday, and I got a letter back from the registrar’s office confirming that everything is in order for me to graduate. Yikes! Now i just need to make sure I pass all my classes and I’ll be scott free.
Windows WMF vulnerability
28 December 2005 | 15:42 | Work | No CommentsThere’s been a lot of news about this latest windows exploit, and Websense Labs has this video of what happens when a machine becomes infected. It’s really quite surprising how much happens once the vulerability is exploited. Not only that, but the lengths the worm goes to to look like legitimate software.

16 December 2005 | 20:51 | General | No CommentsI really enjoyed this comic over at vgcats. So much in fact, that I grabbed part of it to use as a background image on my cellphone.

The phone wants the images to be 275px by 175px in order to make them fill the screen, but clearly it cuts most of that 275 down to somewhere around 100. Seems like they just should have used the actual lcd size.
